BONI SANTÉ
Tickson Mbuyi (DR Congo) and Cleophee Moser (France)

4.30pm

(10 minutes)

'Every time they perform respectively as well as jointly... they are able to move one another with simple gestures but significant and deep situations.'
Cindy Olohou, Director of the Agency Wasanii Ya Leo, Paris

Dance intervention Boni Santé, by Condom Man (Mbuyi) and Condom Girl (Moser), is a witty roaming laboratory that invites the audience for a 'consultation' and ensuing 'art-cure'. The masked counterparts first collaborated in Kinshasa, and have gone on to spread their message which questions boundaries and violence in relation to gender and diversity.

Lewys Holt - Phrases by Liam Keown.jpg

PHRASES
Lewys Holt (UK)

5.40pm

(40 minutes)

‘It was really inspiring... there is no substitute for intelligent, reflective, thoughtful ideas and approaches to making.’

Pete Shenton, New Art Club

What do you do when dealing with miscommunication and confusion is unavoidable? Big questions, but don't worry Lewys Holt is here to help with his PowerPoint, well Keynote, presentation. Using projections of stream-of-consciousness writing, improvised movement and discussions, Lewys stands united with the anxious, the confused and those who overthink to face awkwardness head-on in this subtly humorous yet unnerving piece.

‘A visionary piece that brings the world on to one stage’ London Jewish Chronicle

'Every moment encloses the reality of all the places in the world' ABCDance

Maps is dance inspired by the theatre of the world, which explores a desired world without borders. All maps are a snapshot in time, a fixed interpretation of our world, unable to capture the ebb and flow of people, places and politics. In collaboration with Kings College London, cartographers and 50kgs of salt, MAPS takes the antique map of the world and fuses it into a culturally mixed, rhythmic and musical grove, revelling in a new cartography of the world.
